I. Brookville Women’s Club
a. Norma Rusterholz – on 100th anniversary made quilt. It was hanging in library and now the library is getting more
shelving so the quilt had to go. Was wondering if there was anywhere (here) we could hang it
b. Louis Linkel – I am sure there is a place
c. Norma Rusterholz – needs to be somewhere out of sunlight and where no one can touch it
II. Stayin’ Alive
a. Bonnie blades – just want to know if I can hang a banner on the railing at the courthouse.
b. Commissioners – agree
c. Bonnie Blades – do I have to come in each time?
d. Gene Stewart – just deal through Susan (Jones)
III. Claims
a. Carol L. Monroe – claim for Carol Weber needs to be signed by Judge or have an order from him
b. Thomas Wilson – phones judge’s office/Brian Campbell will notify Judge
c. Thomas Wilson – move to pay all except Carol Weber until Judge ok/signs claim
d. Louis Linkel – seconds the motion
e. Eric Roberts – all in favor
IV. White’s Sale
a. Susan Jones – Sheriff Department did not get Sheriff car to sale/didn’t sell
V. Elevator Maintenance Agreement (Government Center)
a. Eric Roberts – reviews agreement and don’t see any problems ($235.00 per month)
b. Thomas Wilson – how long is the guarantee?
c. Eric Roberts – one year warranty
d. Louis Linkel – motion to approve agreement

VI. Franklin County Ag Day (April 10, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.)
a. Louis Linkel – makes announcement
VII. Weekly Highway Engineer Report, George Hartman
a. Bridge #38 / St. Mary’s Road over Wolf Creek at Pumphouse Road and Wolf Creek Intersection
i. Contractor placed reinforcing steel for (S.E.) wing walls (see photo)
ii. Need to make sure water does not cut around
b. Bridge #100 / Johnson Fork Road over Branch of Johnson Fork (Fork/Stream)
i. Meeting last week with REMC
1. Eric Roberts – just gave Gene (Stewart) letter and Gene is going to work with you, Joe (Gillespie),
and Teen (Lowell McMillin) and work out an agreement
2. the State needs to receive the agreement
3. Eric Roberts – we are not paying them anything, the State will not let us
4. Interest Free loan (see INDOT letter)
a. Eric Roberts – move to pay the $85,100 to INDOT and advertise with May claims
b. Louis Linkel – seconds the motion

c. Bridge #110 / Railfence Road over Salt Creek & Bridge #111 / Railfence Road over Harvey Branch

ii. John Graf – plans are at the State right now for review. Hopefully get those back within the next couple of
weeks. We are more contingent on the state review and right of way at this time.
iii. Thomas Wilson – are we looking at a spring letting
iv. John Graf – it is one project, at the earliest it will be late fall
v. Thomas Wilson – in actuality it will be a spring letting
vi. John Graf – probably
vii. Thomas Wilson – we need to get the right of way secured?
viii. John Graf – that will be a key
ix. Thomas Wilson – believes the appraisals are done
x. John Graf – the well house will have to go and we will compensate him for moving it.
xi. Thomas Wilson – talks to Joe Gillespie (phone) and he has everything ready for the appraisers, just needs
about $50,000.00 for right of ways
xii. Do we want to get a letter together for interest free loan
xiii. Thomas Wilson – try and get that together

i. Susan emailed information to Brenda and will check on progress
e. Stone House Road over small stream 0.1 miles west of Hamburg Road (and slide area along the North Bank of Salt

3. make sure we can get it down as deep as we can

h. INDOT/LPA 2007 schedule for Federal Highway Administration Bridge Project
i. Susan (Jones) received information in the mail

1. several are ready for construction
iii. April 16 INDOT will come in and want to review schedule with county
iv. See spreadsheet on Federal Aid Bridge Projects
1. we have spent most of the money needed on preliminary engineering on these projects
2. Bridge #100 = construction cost was $850,000.00

i. John Graf – Joe (Gillespie) is ready for offers on right of way
ii. Thomas Wilson – it is just having the money to pay for it
VIII. Metamora – one time selling for Franklin County High School Band
a. Louis Linkel – giving ok for high school band to sell water and cookbooks on Carol’s shop porch
IX. Grant for Metamora
a. Susan Jones call Susan Craig to verify the Commissioners are the grant supporter
b. Thomas Wilson – talks to Candy Yurcak (via phone) and verifies
c. Carol L. Monroe – also talks to Candy and informs her of all of the paperwork must come through Auditor’s office
