Hollie Maxie opens the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance.
MINUTES – MOTION – Bradley Spurlock motions to accept the May 18, 2010 Minutes. Kenneth Rosenberger seconds. All in Favor (5). Opposed (0). Motion carried.
ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION RESOLUTION 2010-18 – Hollie Maxie reads Additional Appropriation Resolution 2010-18. County General Personal Services $6000.00 Part-time SAC. PreTrail Diversion-User Fees $8,000.00 Equipment. Cumulative Capital Development $15,000.00 Capital Outlay. Stayin’ Alive $8,000.00 Personal Services. Clerk’s Perpetuation Fund $885.00 New Equipment (shelving units for records). REX Road Repair $8,000.00 Part-time help – $300,000.00 Bituminous – $125,000.00 Services & Charges (repair slide area from Hillside Road on Bullfork Road). Marine Control Grant $27,181.00 Equipment (purchase of boat & other equipment). Cum Capital Development – Eric Roberts mentioned this is for the installation of the sewer line for the North Annex Building and the County may also have to pay the Town of Brookville for State Inspection Fees. REX Road Repair – Brad Spurlock doesn’t think we should approve any more money. Jeff Koch mentioned he has concerns on the western side of the County, roads are not getting repaired and had been getting phone calls. The other side of the County has smooth roads and ours have been bladed. Eric Roberts mentioned the Bull Fork Hill Slide area in District Three was there somewhat before REX started using the road, but they have caused further damage to the area. Jeff Koch would like to see a list a roads and have a plan for repairs from each district. Eric Roberts mentioned he is planning on grinding and chip sealing soon and had already placed blacktop on some of his roads. Council will review the REX Road Repair Additional at the next meeting. Hollie Maxie mentioned the SAC Part-time Help, we can’t allow anymore out of the County General. MOTION – Jeff Koch moved we accept Additional Appropriation 2010-18, except for the $6,000.00 SAC Part-time and the $433,000.00 REX Road Repair. Bradley Spurlock seconds. All in Favor (5). Opposed (0). Motion carried.

2011 RAINY DAY FUND AND BOND 2 GOVERNMENT CENTER BUDGET – Council signed the 2011 Rainy Day Fund and Bond 2 Government Center Budget on the 22nd day of June 2010.
2011 BUDGET HEARINGS – Daryl Krammer asked that the County Council at the 2011 Budget Hearings look at every line, to see if we really need to spend that money that is being requested.
SHERIFF CAR REPAIR – Brad Spurlock mentioned that he spoken to Dale Maxie, Sheriff and was told they have a 2008 Sheriff Car that the spark plugs had blew out and caused the engine to blow and also took out it’s computer. It has been estimated between $4,000 – $4,700 to repair the car and was asked if we can come up with the funds to do the repairs. Brad asked if we can take out of Rainy Day and do an additional. Susan Jones suggested to do a transfer out of Rainy Day Cattle Testing, since there are funds available, instead of doing an additional at this time. MOTION – Brad Spurlock motioned to transfer $5,000.00 out of Rainy Day Cattle Testing to Equipment Repair, with the understanding to do additional funds if needed for cattle testing. Jeff Koch seconds. All in Favor (5). Opposed (0). Motion carried.
LIBRARY DISTRICT ARTICLE IN NEWSPAPER – Bradley Spurlock thanked John Estridge, Editor Whitewater Publications for his article for everyone working together on the Library District issue.
