Area Planning

The Area Plan Commission & Building Department issues building permits, administers zoning regulations and conducts building inspections for all construction in the county, except for Batesville Corporation.  Our office also accepts petitions for the Area Plan Commission and the Board of Zoning Appeals for variances, conditional uses, rezones and subdivisions. We address complaints in regards to inoperable and unlicensed vehicles. Complaint Form

Office hours: Monday through Friday 8:30 – 4:00 (closed for lunch 12:00-1:00) (all major holidays observed) *DUE TO BUDGET CUTS, OUR OFFICE MAY BE CLOSED,  PLEASE CALL TO CONFIRM WE ARE AVAILABLE PRIOR TO COMING IN.  APPOINTMENTS ARE ENCOURAGED. THANK YOU!
